bright ideasA team of four students from Rushcliffe School’s STEM club were named regional winners of a competition launched by Shell. The competition looked for students’ bright ideas to solve the energy challenges of tomorrow. The students developed the idea of using piezoelectric tiles underground, as part of a renewable energy system. For their bright idea, the team won themselves a tablet computer each, a free trip to Shell’s STEM event “Make the Future” and £1500 for Rushcliffe School to spend on STEM resources. The awards ceremony will be on 1st July where the National winners will be announced.
