Appeals for Admission into Year 7 in September 2017
On the national offer day (1st March 2017), should you be unsuccessful in being offered a place at Rushcliffe School, you have the right to appeal against this decision to an independent appeals panel.
For applications made as part of the normal admissions round, our appeals will be held on Tuesday 6th June, Thursday 8th June and Friday 9th June 2017. All parents will be invited to attend stage 1 of the appeals process on the morning of Tuesday 6th June 2017, where the Headteacher will present the case for the admission authority for refusing admission. Parents will also be offered an individual appointment with the panel to put their appeal forward.
Any appeals that are received after the deadline of Friday 7th April 2017 will be heard on the above dates wherever possible and in any case within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
The deadline for sending additional information to the admission appeal clerk is Friday 26th May 2017. Any information provided after this date may not be accepted by the independent panel.
You will be notified of the time and date of your appeal at least 10 days before the hearing.
Decisions will be communicated to you in writing wherever possible within five school days following the last day of appeals scheduled to be heard on the 9th June 2017.
